We’re looking for performers who can bring poetry to life and read with passion and commitment to take part in audio recording sessions with the actor Fiona Shaw CBE at the Sage Gateshead at some point between 1pm – 5pm on Friday 20th April – this Friday!

The recording sessions are taking place to gather content for a sound installation as part of Peace Camp – an Olympics Cultural Festival project: www.peacecamp2012.com.

Fiona is looking to record people with local accents who love poetry and who would be confident in being directed by her to read love poems. You’d be asked to read a love poem you’ve chosen that you love, as well as a poem that Fiona will choose for you that she loves. This would take about 30 mins.

I’m afraid there’s no fee for this but we are able to cover expenses. We hope it will be a really fun experience and wonderful project to be involved in.
